These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Trident Audio Visual Solutions LTD (“the Company”). By engaging the Company, the Client agrees to the following terms.
1. Scope of Services
The Company provides consultation, sourcing, installation and precision calibration of audio-visual systems.
Services will be delivered in accordance with written quotations, email confirmation or invoices agreed between the Company and the Client.
Any work requested outside the agreed scope may be subject to additional charges.
2. Quotations
All quotations are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.
Quotations are based on information provided by the Client and visible site conditions. If site conditions differ materially from those described or reasonably expected, the Company reserves the right to revise pricing accordingly.
3. Deposits and Payment
Where equipment or materials are required, a deposit covering material and procurement costs must be paid prior to materials being ordered or any work commencing.
Once materials or equipment have been ordered, purchased or custom-fabricated, the deposit becomes non-refundable.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the remaining balance is due upon completion of works.
The Company reserves the right to suspend or delay work where payment terms are not met.
4. Equipment and Materials
Clients are welcome to supply their own equipment or materials.
Where equipment or materials are supplied by the Client, the Company accepts no responsibility for:
Manufacturer defects
Compatibility issues
Incomplete components
Performance limitations
Pre-existing faults
Damage caused prior to installation
Any issues relating to Client-supplied equipment remain the responsibility of the Client and must be addressed with the original supplier or manufacturer.
Where the Company sources equipment on behalf of the Client, the Company will:
Take reasonable steps to ensure safe delivery
Inspect for visible transit damage
Confirm operational functionality at installation where reasonably practicable
Manufacturer warranties apply to all supplied equipment. The Company does not provide warranties beyond those offered by the manufacturer.
All equipment supplied by the Company remains its property until paid for in full.
5. Installation Standards
The Company will exercise reasonable care and professional skill during all installations.
Minor cosmetic disturbance such as dust, small marks or surface disruption may occur during installation and shall not constitute a defect.
The Company cannot be held responsible for concealed pipes, cables, structural weaknesses or hidden defects not reasonably detectable prior to drilling or installation.
6. Calibration and Performance
System performance is influenced by room acoustics, construction materials, equipment limitations and environmental factors.
Calibration services aim to optimise performance within these constraints. Specific subjective performance outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
7. Limited 12-Month Workmanship Warranty
The Company provides a limited 12-month workmanship warranty from the date of completion.
This warranty covers defects directly resulting from installation errors or workmanship carried out by the Company.
This warranty does not cover:
Manufacturer defects
Normal wear and tear
Accidental damage
Misuse or negligence
Client tampering, modification or relocation of installed equipment
Alterations to property structure or wiring following installation
Damage caused by third parties
Warranty claims must be submitted in writing within the 12-month period.
8. Cancellations
Cancellations within 48 hours of scheduled works may incur a charge.
Deposits covering material or equipment costs are non-refundable once equipment or materials have been ordered or purchased.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Company maintains appropriate public liability insurance.
Liability for any claim arising from Services provided shall be limited to the value of those Services.
The Company shall not be liable for indirect, consequential or incidental losses.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is unlawful under English law.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
